The PFF gang at the McCubbins in Glenburn
Glenburn-The fourth annual PFF Fly Fishing derby was held on Sunday, June 20, 2010 on Pushaw Lake in Glenburn. The field consisted of 5 boats; Team Kovanko, Team Cubby, Team Cubby II, Team Dunnett and Team Annika. The weather was beautiful as the boats left the Lakeside Landing at 8 am. Fishing ended promptly at noon and everyone gathered back at the landing. Fish though not numerous, were good sized. Jason McCubbin (Team Cubby II) boated a nice 18″ smallmouth for second place. First place went to Dan Hodgins and Don Corey (Team Annika) with 3 bass (19″, 18″ and 16″). The Lady Di and the Angel of Death (black gurgler) were responsible for their fish. It was an enjoyable day on the lake. Everyone seemed to have a good time and after the derby Don and Nancy McCubbin graciously opened their home and hosted a cookout on the Pushaw Road.
